Exemption statement

Sindexed is a directory and index. It does not produce, host, or distribute visual depictions of actual sexually explicit conduct. The only imagery Sindexed publishes consists of identification assets, such as platform logos and censored or non-explicit thumbnails, alongside written text: reviews, pricing facts, and comparison data. Sindexed does not photograph, film, or otherwise produce sexually explicit content, and it has no performers, models, or talent of its own.

Because Sindexed does not create or host sexually explicit visual depictions, the record-keeping and labeling requirements of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 do not apply to this site. Those requirements attach to producers of actual sexually explicit visual content, a category Sindexed does not fall into under this site's current publishing model.

Third-party platforms

Sindexed links to independently owned and operated third-party platforms. Each linked platform is solely responsible for its own compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2257, 28 C.F.R. Part 75, and any other applicable record-keeping, age-verification, or content labeling law in its own jurisdiction. Sindexed does not maintain records on behalf of any linked platform and makes no representation about the completeness of a linked platform's own compliance program beyond what that platform discloses on its own site.

Scope of this statement

This statement describes Sindexed's own publishing model as of the date above. If Sindexed begins hosting or producing sexually explicit visual depictions in the future, this page will be updated to reflect the record-keeping custodian, the location of records, and all other information required under 18 U.S.C. § 2257 before any such content is published.
